Mont Ventoux
Just
over an hour's drive, Mont Ventoux is 1912 metres high and offers spectacular
views of the surrounding countryside and towards the Alps. There are picnic
areas and restaurants and cafes at the top.
In the winter months there is a ski centre at Mont Serein with a good
selection of pistes and special areas reserved for downhill skiing, cross-country
skiing, snowshoe hiking, sledging and snowboarding. You can hire equipment
there. We had a wonderful time sledging there. The area reserved for sledging
has a good selection of runs from gentle for younger children to daring
for older children or adults. We have a sledge at La Clarté which
you are welcome to use.
